With a belief in her generation’s ability to contribute to positive change in the food system, Alexandra co-founded the Youth Food Movement (YFM) Australia in 2011 with Joanna Baker.
The Youth Food Movement exists to grow a tribe of trailblazers to unbreak the food system. Be it through Upstart, where they are upskilling 150 young people who want to be future leaders in the food industry. By reducing food waste through their Cookluck club campaign, supported by local govt with a series of live events, in-home cook ups and how-to content focused on turning left overs and seemingly past-it's-use-by-date veggies into delicious tucker not landfill. And by sharing real stories of the faces of Australian food to their growing 24,000+ community.
