Doctor Simon Wong
Dr Wong is the Consultant Surgeon in Upper Gastrointestinal & Metabolic Surgery Division of Prince of Wales Hospital and appointed as the Honorary Clinical Associate Professor by Department of Surgery of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently, he is the President Elect of Asia-Pacific Metabolic & Bariatric Surgical Society (APMBSS), the President of the Hong Kong Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (HKSMBS) and the Treasurer of Hong Kong Association of Study of Obesity (HKASO). Dr. Wong graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1991 and in year 2000, he is a visiting scholar in the upper GI surgery unit of Royal Brisbane Hospital & Princess Alexandre Hospital in Queensland, Australia. His main clinical and research interested is bariatric surgery, minimal invasive upper gastrointestinal surgery and advanced therapeutic endoscopy. He has published more than 50 articles in the local & international journal and was invited to delivered lectures in various conferences around the world. In 2002 Dr Wong established the first Multidisciplinary Combine Obesity Clinic in Hong Kong and now in-charge of the Metabolic & Bariatric surgery service in Prince of Wales Hospital, CUHK.
