Nick has worked as a clinical dietitian for more than 20 years in both the public and private health system. At a tertiary level Nick worked at Flinders Medical Centre in the Intensive Care unit and as a specialist Gastrointestinal dietitian. Throughout this time, he also consulted in his own private practice. Since 2009, Nick has worked full time in private practice with a focus on helping people to maximise health outcomes through management of their gastrointestinal conditions.
In 2002, Nick joined the multidisciplinary team at the Adelaide Bariatric Centre as the Bariatric dietitian. His focus is not only on educating the patient around pre-and post-operative dietary protocols but supporting them to maintain and monitor appropriate macro and micro nutrient profiles so they can achieve positive health outcomes after weight loss surgery. He maintains a strong interest and commitment to bariatric surgery clients as an active member of OSSANZ.
Further to his interest and commitment to adult bariatric work, since 2014 Nick established a company and is a co-director and the senior clinical dietitian at Danny’s Place, a child and adolescent obesity management service.
